Qatar Airways Is Here For The Long Haul

Five years after the start of its Seychelles service, Qatar Airways ‘is here to stay”. The declaration was made by the airline’s Vice Presidet for Africa, Ihab Sorial, as he welcomed customers, guests and partners at a reception to celebrate the anniversary this week.

2010 also marks ten years since the airline introduced its ‘Privilege Club’ which is considered one of the best frequent flyer programmes in the world.

“Qatar Airways is here for the long haul,” said Sorial, “and will continue to provide its customers with the best product and excellent customer care”.

The VP for Africa had very warm words for the airline’s local manager Rose-Marie Hoareau and her staff. Mrs Hoareau has said that as from July this year, Qatar will increase ins capacity on the Seychelles route with two A330 replacing the smaller A319. This will mean an extra 300 seats each week for visitors from Europe and the Gulf.
